China may be a very important trading partner of the majority of African nations, but the same is definitely not true in reverse. In the first nine months of the year, China’s total global trade amounted to $3.4 trillion, according to new figures released by China Customs this week.
Although third-quarter China-Africa trade figures have not yet been released, the figure’s probably somewhere around $100-$120 billion based on the $82 billion in two-way trade that was done in the first half of the year.
