Lin Songtian: The U.S. “Maliciously Disrupts China-Africa Relations”

Former South African ambassador and current President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Lin Songtian, was the keynote speaker at an online event this week organized by the Beijing-based consultancy Development Reimagined and the Ghanaian embassy. Ambassador Lin devoted the bulk of his speech to give a spirited critique of the United States and its handling of the COVID-19 outbreak and, in his view, not working hard enough to help combat the pandemic in Africa.
