Jing Cai is a policy analyst at Development Reimagined, a Kenya-owned, China-based international development consultancy with a mission to deliver sustainable development and poverty reduction in a dynamic and complex world.
The approach is bespoke, rigorous and holistic, and clients include governments, civil society organisations and businesses small and large, from all sides of the world. The projects range from designing or evaluating aid projects, to creating infographics and videos on China's approach to development, to writing annual reports for funds, or facilitating meetings between Chinese investors and African start-up businesses.
Jing is enrolled in a master programme of international development and management at Lund University in Sweden.
Jing’s passion for global development lays its roots in her experience working with a Chinese medical team to Benin as a translator. She was also engaged in a disability advocacy project with GIZ Cambodia in 2019. Her current work is focused on various topics, including decolonizing global health, healthcare system strengthening, China’s aid systems, as well as Sino-Africa cooperation.
Jing is fluent in Chinese, English and French.
