Author: Collective for the Renewal of Africa
The Collective for African Renewal is a gathering of intellectuals and academics from the African continent and the diaspora born following the publication on March 13, 2020 of an open letter entitled: "To the leaders of the African continent: facing the Covid-19, it's time to act! ". The hundred or so signatories of this letter invited Africans to manage the coronavirus pandemic with intelligence and daring, to refuse mimicry, to govern with compassion and, above all, to make the current crisis that humanity is going through an opportunity to change course, relying first on our continent's own human and material resources.
