China Announces Major Pullback of Forces Along Disputed Border With India

There’s been a major breakthrough in the once seemingly intractable border standoff between India and China along their highly contested frontier in the Himalayas.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday confirmed that PLA forces have withdrawn from four sectors along the so-called “Line of Actual Control,” including the Galwan Valley, which was the site of violent clashes between the two armies in 2020.
