Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday in Riyadh, where the two discussed bolstering the Kingdom’s ties with Iran.

In 2023, China helped to broker a reconciliation between the two rivals after a seven-year rift. Sunday’s talks in the Saudi capital came just a few days after senior diplomats from the three countries met in Tehran to discuss expanding the Beijing Accords for deeper political and economic cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh.
