India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri arrived in Beijing on Sunday for two days of talks with his counterpart, Vice-Foreign Minister Sun Weidong. The two, who were both ambassadors to each other’s countries, are expected to discuss the resumption of direct flights and the easing of visa restrictions for journalists and business travelers. (THE HINDU)

Honduras’ Foreign Minister Enrique Reina said a U.S. aid freeze and the repatriation of migrants could push the Central American country to forge closer ties with China. In a recent TV interview, Reina said a more isolationist U.S. requires the government to look elsewhere for partners, particularly in the Persian Gulf and Asia. (THE NEW YORK TIMES)
