Joe Biden boarded Air Force One late Sunday night, bound for West Africa in what will likely be the outgoing U.S. president’s final overseas trip before he leaves office next month.

The President will travel to Angola with a brief stopover in the tiny Atlantic Ocean island nation of Cabo Verde, marking the first visit to Africa by a sitting U.S. President since Barack Obama traveled to Kenya and Ethiopia almost ten years ago.
