WEEK IN REVIEW: Chinese Embassy Warns Citizens Against Visiting Pakistan

On Saturday, the Chinese government updated the number of its nationals evacuated from Lebanon to 215. The embassy in Beirut has not confirmed how many of its citizens remain in the country. Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday during a brief visit to New Delhi. Muizzu’s visit to India is widely seen as an effort to repair ties that were badly damaged when Muizzu came to power last year and re-oriented the Indian Ocean island state’s foreign policy away from India and towards China. (THE HINDU)
