Beijing Condemns Attacks in Pakistan That Militants Say Specifically Targeted Chinese Projects

The Chinese Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a wave of separatist violence that swept across the northwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan all week, where at least 70 people have been killed in the violence.

The region is the center of China’s massive $60 billion infrastructure development initiative known as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which militants are specifically targeting in a bid to pressure the government in Islamabad.
