Chinese Firm Wins Contract to Build New Sports Stadium in Tanzania

The Tanzanian government awarded China Railway Construction Engineering Group a $113 million contract to build a new soccer stadium in the northern city of Arusha. The stadium will be used for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

While China has financed several stadium projects in Africa, this new facility in Arusha will be paid for entirely by the Tanzanian government. (THE CITIZEN)
