Lagos Launches Second Chinese-Built Light Rail

The Nigerian commercial hub of Lagos now has a bonafide light rail network with the launch of the city’s new Chinese-built Red Line.

President Bola Tinubu commissioned the new $135 million railway last Thursday, which has eight stations across 26 kilometers. The President also oversaw the signing of an agreement to extend the line an additional 11 kilometers.
