But Huawei’s efforts in Africa, particularly since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year, is proving to be the exception.

Today’s tweet by Cameroonian Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute highlights the kind of response the Chinese telecom giant regularly receives from senior-level stakeholders for the steady stream of equipment and monetary donations that it’s made to many countries across the continent.
