Journalists and foreign policy analysts are scratching their heads as to why U.S. National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien lumped together Zimbabwe with China as “foreign adversaries” who are using social media to stoke unrest and “sow discord” amid the ongoing protests across the United States.
“I want to tell our foreign adversaries, whether it’s a Zimbabwe or China,” said O’Brien during an interview on the Sunday morning talk show This Week with George Stephanopoulos, “that the difference between us and you is that officer who killed George Floyd, he’ll be prosecuted, he’ll receive a fair trial.”
