Wang Yi Presents New (Old) Proposal at the UN Security Council to Resolve Mideast War

China used the last remaining hours of its month-long presidency of the United Nations Security Council to convene a high-level dialogue on the Israel-Hamas war.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi led the discussion on Wednesday in New York, where he presented the council with a four-point peace plan that was largely a rehash of Beijing’s previous statements on the war, namely the urgent need for a two-state solution.
