Source: @mahmoudali

Xue Bing, China’s Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, is back in the region, making the rounds to various capitals to meet with senior-level officials. Xue kicked off his latest tour in Eritrea on Friday, where he met with President Isaias Afwerki. Then on Sunday, the Chinese envoy traveled to neighboring Djibouti for talks with Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

As is customary, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has not published Xue’s itinerary, so it’s not entirely clear which countries he will visit on this tour.
