China’s best-selling car will soon arrive in the South African market, part of a wave of new models entering the country that are rapidly chipping away at Toyota’s dominance of the hybrid segment, in particular.

The Geely EX2 is expected to hit showrooms later this month, when the all-electric five-door, five-seat hatchback that was China’s top-selling car in 2025 makes its debut in Africa.
