Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi touched down in Tunisia, the second stop on his annual African tour. Tensions in the Middle East dominated the first part of the trip, with Wang calling for a peace conference to deal with the Israel crisis.

His time in Tunisia was relatively low-key, with few new initiatives announced. The Chinese official press focused on the commemoration of six decades of diplomatic relations between China and Tunisia.
