Indian PM Modi Arrives in the U.S., China Expected to be High on the Agenda in Talks With Biden

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New York on Tuesday for a quick stopover before heading to Washington for a high-profile state visit that will include talks with U.S. President Joe Biden.

Modi signaled just before he left that China will figure prominently in his discussions with U.S. leaders. He said his government will “fully protect its sovereignty and dignity” from Chinese incursions along their disputed border in the Himalayas.
