The Chinese Embassy, Mining Company Move Quickly to Defuse Tension in Zimbabwe Following Shooting

Chinese stakeholders in Zimbabwe moved quickly this week to try and make amends for Sunday’s violent confrontation at a mining site in the central city of Gweru, where a Chinese manager shot two local employees in a salary dispute.

Both employees were taken to the hospital and are now reportedly in stable condition.
